About XL's Intensive Driving Courses

Should you wish to pass within 1 week then you are likely to need an intensive driving course.

Remember... to book a practical driving test you must first have passed your theory test.

Theory test 

Although you can take your theory test during your intensive driving course week, we highly recommend you study for and pass the test before your intensive driving course.  Content that you have the full knowledge obtained by studying and successfully passing your theory test helps you concentrate on the lessons within your driving week.  We can recommend all the study materials required to pass your theory test and help you should you have any problems.  We can even book your theory test for you free of charge.    

Assessment lesson

Because everyone is different (for example... you may have already had some driving lessons) we do not assume everyone will need 30 hours of tuition.  We highly recommend an initial assessment lesson within which we can find out about your current driving ability.  For example, what do you know already, how quickly you learn new subjects and from this lesson we can make an educated ‘guess’ as to how many hours we think will be a realistic amount for you to pass your practical driving test at the end of your intensive course with us.
 
Your Intensive Driving Week

Your intensive driving course will be with the same fully qualified driving instructor throughout the week.  It will be on consecutive, pre-arranged days which could include a Saturday and Sunday depending on your request and availability of instructors.  All tuition will be one to one in the car you will take your test in.  You will take a realistic mock test with another XL driving instructor on an actual test route the day before your real test.  We can book your practical driving test free of charge.

Your accommodation

If you require accommodation for your intensive week here in Norwich we can recommend suitable accommodation.   

Prices

We charge £20 an hour for your intensive driving week.  E.g. 20 hours = £400, 25 hours = £500.  The hours are predicted following your assessment lesson and half the cost is due when the intensive week is confirmed.  The remainder is due at the beginning of your course week.
